Gary Alumni Pathway to Students (GAPS) exists to connect alumni power to student potential—bridging generations, opportunity, and access in a city shaped by both legacy and resilience. They needed a nonprofit brand strategy & website.
As the organization grew, the challenge was not visibility. It was the alignment between the GAPS’ nonprofit brand strategy & website. GAPS needed a brand and digital presence capable of carrying its mission clearly—internally and externally—while preparing the organization for its next season of growth.

The Challenge: GAPS Nonprofit Brand Strategy & Website
The real challenge was not design—it was infrastructure.
GAPS required more than a logo or a website. The organization needed a centralized communications system that could:
-
Clearly articulate mission and impact
-
Support multiple audiences (students, alumni, partners, donors)
-
Scale as programs, partnerships, and visibility increased
Without that foundation, growth would create fragmentation instead of momentum.
The Approach: A Nonprofit Brand Strategy & Website
From the outset, the work was designed not only for external clarity, but for internal coordination. We had to ensure the public-facing brand could connect seamlessly to systems that automate marketing, centralize communication, and streamline operations behind the scenes. Before anything was designed, we focused on defining:
-
The core message GAPS needed to lead with
-
How the brand should feel to those it serves and supports
-
What systems were required to ensure consistency as the organization grows
From there, we engineered a brand and digital framework that could function as both a public-facing presence and an internal point of alignment.
What Was Built
The outcome was a unified brand and digital communications center designed to support mission-led growth.
The work included:
- Brand identity development rooted in purpose and place
- A scalable website architecture designed for clarity and expansion
- Content structure that supports storytelling, engagement, and action
- A user experience designed around trust, accessibility, and ease
Every element was designed to work together—reducing friction and increasing coherence across the organization. The digital foundation was also structured to integrate with SAM—Adam Red’s all-in-one platform for automating marketing, centralizing communication, and streamlining operations.
The Result
This work resulted in more than a digital presence—it established a connected communications system.
The nonprofit brand strategy and website serve as the public-facing digital foundation, clearly articulating the mission and inviting engagement. Behind it, the platform is integrated with SAM, an all-in-one system designed to streamline communication, coordination, and ongoing relationship management.
Together, the digital foundation and communications center allow GAPS to move with clarity and consistency—ensuring that as the organization grows, its message, operations, and engagement remain aligned rather than fragmented.
